An early Easter and below freezing temperatures limited some of our Holy Week ceremonies this year: our Palm Sunday procession was entirely within the church, and sadly not the ecumenical celebration we had planned. Maundy Thursday was followed by an all night watch by parishioners. Our town's Christian community did gather for the traditional noontime Good Friday service in cold but sunny conditions, followed by Stations of the Cross that evening. Saturday night's Great Vigil began in the narthex with the lighting of the Paschal fire; the next day our children dug through the snow to find their Easter eggs.
