Ministries

We act as Jesus’ heart and hands in the world by responding to the needs of our community, and beyond, providing a sacred place for weddings, baptisms and funerals and a warm, safe place for meetings of support groups and nonprofit organizations. Contributions to the Diocese of Vermont carry our ministry throughout the state and to distant lands.

Lay Pastoral Care connects dedicated parishioners to others in need of solace, companionship, or helping hands. Loaves & Fishes brings parishioners together to prepare meals for members recovering from illness or surgery, those with newborns or just in need of comfort.

If you have experienced an unexpected set-back, it’s important be able to focus on healing and recovery. Our Loaves & Fishes ministry can help you during that time.

We will work with you to come up with a plan that fits — two weeks or two months, we are here to help as much as we can!  If you have a need for this service or you would like to receive an e-mail when someone in the parish is in need of some home-cooked help, contact Marge Drexler.

“Whoever confers benefits will be amply enriched, and whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Whoever hoards grain, the people curse, but blessings are on the head of the one who distributes it!” Proverbs 11:25-26

An extensive recent Survey of the Congregation revealed a longing to expand or improve our ministries by attracting more families with children and youth, making it comfortable and easy for new people to join in the life of the church and a strong inclination to more effectively advocate for social and institutional change so that society might better reflect the values of the kingdom of God.

We strive to be awake to God, listening to the still small voice in each of us and to the words of our sacred text.
