Absalom Jones Fund for Episcopal HBCUs – GRATITUDE!

 Thank you to all who supported the Absalom Jones Fund during the month of February. St. Stephen’s folks raised a total of $2,000 to support the Fund, an outstanding beginning to this annual effort to provide educational opportunities to young people attending our two Episcopal HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) – St. Augustine’s University in Raleigh, NC; and Voohees College in Denmark, SC.

We are grateful not only to everyone who made their gifts to the Absalom Jones Fund through St. Stephen’s – we exceeded the $750 match handily, but also to everyone who gave directly to the Fund online or to the institutions themselves.

This fundraising effort was a joint undertaking of the Outreach and Justice Committees.
