At the last vestry meeting we discussed the Holy Cow Survey and planned out a list of goals and New Ministry objectives for the coming year. We also discussed what we had accomplished in the last year and what is unfinished. I'm happy to talk to any of you who would like a more detailed list of all these items, but here I'd like to talk about goals.

  • Develop a comprehensive plan to welcome visitors

  • Rebuild connections within the community through events

  • Hire a Christian Education Director

  • New Series of Sacred Ground circles and testimonies from those who have had transformative experience through past involvement

  • Capital Campaign early stages with cottage meetings to present needs and get parishioner feedback

  • Create a youth acolyte program

  • Make a determination of transition from priest in charge to Rector for us and for Paul

  • Reenvision our hands on food ministries and implement new programs

  • Expand hands-on outreach ministry

  • Develop closer Vestry ties with all standing ministry committees - and supporting their leadership

  • See through a review and revision to our outdated bylaws

Yes! I know that's a lot, and probably not a complete list! But we are trying our best to hear you and work to make St Stephen's even better than it is now. And I think it's pretty good now.

A special thanks goes to Ed McGuire for keeping us on task and on time for our meeting.
