Guatamala Youth Initiative and Little Seed Coffee Roasters

Little seed COFFEE ROASTERS is partnering with Guatamala Youth Initiative this quarter through our ‘you sip, we give’ initiative. Each quarter, little seed donates 5% of quarterly profits to an organization that does great work in one the coffee-growing regions from where our coffees are sourced. We are thrilled to be supporting Guatamala Youth Initiative and the amazing work they are doing to uplift communities around the Guatamala City landfill — to empower and inform youth on reproductive health, inspire gender equality, prevent unplanned pregnancies, and improve the well-being of young mothers. We had the pleasure of meeting Sophie Swallow of GYI in December during one of her visits to Middlebury, as a former Middlebury resident and graduate of Middlebury college. During that time, we connected with Sophie on the amazing work she and the organization are doing and were able to share some information about our initiative. Soon after, we sought out a coffee from Guatamala so we could support GYI in the following quarter. We are especially excited to support GYI this quarter because of the organization’s close relationship with our neighbors at St. Stephen’s, and ties to our community here in Middlebury!
