John Graham Awarded $60,500 Outreach Grant
After much hard work and reflection, our process led us to recommend Vestry approval of a John Graham Housing & Service (JGHS) request for $60,500 to fund the preliminary work needed to apply for an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)

After a summer break the Outreach Committee has immersed itself in work on the $150,000 gift for local outreach needs.
Welcome Home Kits
In early January of 2021, Sandy Ketcham presented a novel idea to the Outreach Committee: Could we provide basic items in a kit for homeless persons who are transitioning to stable housing?
Blessing our Community with Food
St Stephen’s continues with several vital food ministries. We collaborate with Charter House, the Friday Community Supper, and the food shelves at HOPE and CVOEO to address hunger and food insecurity in our community.
JULY OUTREACH UPDATE
In 2021 the Outreach Committee decided to approach the spring grant cycle very differently than in the past. Over the course of the year, we have focused our attention on two areas of great need during the pandemic: food insecurity and homelessness/housing insecurity in Addison County.
2020-2021 Outreach Update
2020 brought many changes for the Outreach Committee: no Peasant Market to fund our usual activities; role changes for several long-time leaders; new committee co-chairs; social agencies universally under stress; and strict limitations for hands-on assistance during the pandemic.
Volunteer Opportunities: Teen Center
Addison Central Teens is seeking volunteer mentors to help run activities and supervise summer school students during extracurricular time at Middlebury Union High School.
