Weddings

The clergy of St. Stephen’s are happy to assist you in the planning of your wedding. We have a beautiful sanctuary and a glorious organ, making it an ideal wedding venue.

We are here to help you prepare not simply for your marriage ceremony but also for your married life. A series of pre-marital meetings is required for all couples seeking marriage in the Episcopal Church.

Weddings at St. Stephen’s are performed according to the rites and ceremonies of The Book of Common Prayer. Please talk to a member of the clergy to verify a date before booking other elements of your marriage celebration.

Baptism

Baptism is the sacrament of membership in the Christian church. St. Stephen’s baptizes infants and adults.

Baptism usually is performed quarterly at the Easter Vigil, Pentecost, All Saints’ Sunday, and the Feast of the Baptism of Christ. Our next regular baptismal dates will be Sunday, January 7, 2024 - The Feast of the Baptism of Christ. Confirmation is offered to baptized adults during the bishop’s visitations.

Funerals, Memorial Services, and End of Life Planning

It is always appropriate for members of the Christian church to inform next of kin and clergy of their wishes regarding the end of their life. Included in this section are several documents that we hope will help you begin the process of determining what your wishes are and start a conversation about them with your loved ones. Informing them of our wishes is a gift all its own and can avoid additional stress during an emotional time.

We strive to be awake to God, listening to the still small voice in each of us and to the words of our sacred text.
