Interfaith Climate Action Network

by Virginia Westbrook

The ICAN folks met again in December, with Abigail Diehl-Noble from Charlotte stepping up to convene and lead the meetings. They hammered out a statement of their purpose/vision & mission, which concludes,

We support initiatives in Addison County and the state of Vermont to raise awareness of the existential threat of climate change, change the short-sighted human behaviors that contribute to it, and reduce its environmental impacts.  We also seek to address climate change where it intersects with other forms of injustice.

The January meeting will pursue questions of appropriate actions and potential partnerships. I expect that the group would appreciate hearing from anyone who has a project or passion that needs advocacy or attention from ICAN.
